interview--Teaching English in Post-Cold War Slovakia

Dr. Chris Shaffer shares his experiences as a young History Ed grad who had a chance to teach English in Eastern Europe as the Iron Curtain came crashing down and Czechoslovakia had an amicable "divorce". His six months in Slovakia taught him a great deal about how the rest of the world lives and how much the people of Eastern Europe were oppressed under communism.
